  Just reading "The Facebook effect." I have never gone there myself, believe that!!!....just thought the book looked good. Interesting over 500 Million subscribers and rising. Iran tried to ban it due to the protesting recently as it was used to organise the revolt, also Libya and Syria the same thing. Millions protested in the streets of the world over the Colombian Terrorist group FARC. Seems this is a world changing device....the power of people and social networking. Thousands of Witnesses and Ex-Witnesses have come and gone here on this site....I think this site is doing a great service in search of truth.

  Gutless WTS Leadership From the "Confidentiality" Letter

  the letter leaked today on "confidentiality" had an infurating set of paragraphs on suicides, attempted suicides, and threatened suicides.

  here is the excerpt.. suicides and attempted or threatened suicides.

  20. at times, judicial committees may deal with someone who is so distraught that he attempts.

  i was brought up around the "truth" as a child.

  my parents studied some then later after they were divorced, we (mom, sis and i) moved in with my grandparents, who were inactive witnesses.

  though inactive, they still touted all the wts lingo and doctrine.

  i know the truth/troof is not all it is cracked up to be but i have been a little bit of a rebel all my life and so rebelled.. .

  there is a really good movie called master and commander: the far side of the world starring russell crowe and paul bettany.

  the setting is a ship at sea in the early 19th century.

  crowe plays the captain of the ship, a man of faith, and bettany plays a physcian who studies the world around him.

  I saw a doco. today about thousands of years ago the Nascar who's spiritual witch-doctor would give human sacrifices to the gods when their was no rain.....and they covered the landscape for miles with pictures to the gods.....this time consuming effort reminds me of the Witnesses and religious people today spending time to appease the angry god's or God.

  wachtower dec 1 2011 p.10 "french village faces influx of apocalypse believers...they believe the world will end 21 december 2012 when the end of....ancient maya calander...despite predictions by calamity-howling religious leaders, pseudoscientists, and any other prognosticators, earth will be in existence for a long time...when will this occur?

  no human knows.

  jehovah's witnesses do not try to predict when god will destroy the wicked...{really?

  i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.

  in he's nephews book i could not believe some of the things he mentions.

  when his father died fred franz told his mother he could not go to the funeral because he was just too busy at bethel.

  If he was gay he would have been a "boyfriend" for Governing body member Chitty. But he just put first the kingdom and hoped the big A. would come in the 70's-80's so he would not have to see old age and death. After Russell's and Rutherfords false predictions caused MANY THOUSANDS to leave the truth I cant believe HE DID THE SAME WITH 1975!!!! When he saw what was happening with his experiences he should have done something. 150,000 brothers left the truth after 1976....publisher figures did not recover for years.

  Does anyone have the 1980 Yearbook apology by the Governing body for "some of the dissapointment felt?"
